Lent him my phone. Goodbye phone
“Dad, I will call you back later. I am crossing the road now. Bye” With that, I hung up the phone and waited for the green man. While waiting, my friends were praising me about how helpful and caring I was. That was why I gotten the “Most Helpful Student Award”.“I remembered that time when Anna help the old lady cross the road.”
“Remember when Anna helped the young boy, who was lost in the shopping mall, to find his parents.”
“Yes, I do remember those times.”
I was blushing yet I love to hear those comments. At least, my helpfulness was remembered by others.
“Okay, let’s cross the road!” Holding my friends’ hands, we cross the road laughing away.
Not long after crossing the road, I sense that someone who following us. It was not long before I turned around, only to realize that a small boy was behind me. Curious, I asked “Is there a problem?”
He started to cry and told me that he was lost and could not find his parents. He tried asking passer-bys if they could lend him their phones so that he could contact his parents. However, none lend he. Believing what the boy said, I reach into my handbag to search for my phone.
“Here you go, call your parents.” I said with a smile. The small boy dialed the number. However, he said that he could not hear, as it was too noisy, and suggested that he moved to a quieter place. He went on and began to move further away from us.
“Anna, you are so helpful!” My friend, Esther, remarked.
“ANNA! Look! He is running away!”
All of us spotted the small boy running as fast as a cheetah. We gave chase but soon gave up as we were all wearing high-heels.
“You were cheated! That small boy was a cheat after all!”
Shocked by the fact, I needed time to accept it. It was not long later that we went to the police to make a report. However, the police said “You are not the only ones who have reported about this issue. Many have also reported about a small boy stating that he was lost. Later, he ran away with their phones.”

Heyy Amanda!
I'm glad you chose that title because it was originated from me! haha. Anyway, you might be wondering how on Earth I came up with that six-word story right? Well, this particular experience occured to my dad a few years back. The incident is quite similar to your story though. . .
One particular morning, my dad was smoking outside his workplace until a young-looking man approached him. He told my dad that he needed to call his wife urgently. At first, my dad was a little suspicious about lending him his phone. However, without thinking twice, my dad handed his phone to the man as he seemed to be serious. He then started to talk and slowly, started moving further and further. At first, my dad thought that he needed some privacy and ignored him. Soon after my dad return from throwing his cigarette, the man was no where to be found!
So, moral of the story: Think TWICE b4 doing anything!
Btw, do leave me a comment!
You have a nice little story there. I like how to establish how helpful Anna is and how she has a handphone in the beginning of the essay.
Consider the next task about showing vs telling and see if there are areas in this story that can enhanced by showing.
Good effort!
Hey Amanda! Interesting story you got there. The minute I saw the name Anna, I smiled to myself. It reminded me of ur 'nickname'.
Anyway, your story is fairly interesting. I really enjoyed reading it. I really think that these days, society have changed. Seriously, children at scuh young age going round stealing handphones these days is such a common thing.
Wow. you chose such a hard topic and could write so well. If I were you, I wouldn't know what to write. Anyway, it was fun to read. Nice job!
A really simple yet interesting story! The moment I started reading the second paragraph, I was determined to finish reading the whole essay. Your dialogues are those that caught my attention, it was very casual yet it brings out how the girls and you were feeling. I guess, if this really happened in real life you would be feeling even more disappointed and regretful! You would even probably take off your high heels and run after the little boy to retrieve your phone back!
